I want Hairy! How long does it take?

Hairy Mary garb is for life not just for christmas, and likewise I have a life and not just a penchant for making garb from old rags (although let’s be honest, having a small business - and I can’t stress the small part enough - does make the life part pretty limited, which I can only assume is what the ltd. really means). Having blabbered on about my dwindling social life, if ordering ready to wear items, expect them to arrive 2-4 working days following order confirmation.

Depending on the location there will be a shipping charge for your order:

UK- £5.00

EU - £17.00

USA/Rest of World - £25

The buyer (YOU) is responsible for covering any duties, tax or customs clearance fees.

Most of the time Hairy Mary can do either, just get in touch through the fax me page and depending on the alteration there will be an additional charge starting at £15 per item.

Would you make it extra special just for me?

Woah, what an honour! While all garbs are about as special as they can be, if you have specific requests these can be discussed and Hairy will do her darndest to accommodate. Custom orders have an additional fee starting at £25, and please expect a 1-3 week lead time following order confirmation. 

Where is Hairy Mary made?

Keep up for christ sake; as we know, but just in case anyone forgot, everything is handmade in London , and when I say everything, I mean the designing, the patterns, the sewing, the hand embroidery and of course all the packing and posting, not to mention all the other businessy stuff that no one quite understands.

What is Hairy Mary made from?

So glad you asked, from everything and anything including very much alive dead stock, eclectic off cuts, recycled tablecloths, antique napkins, retro tea towels and anything else ethically sourced Hairy can get her mitts on.

Will I always get the exact replica of what is on the site?

Each Hairy Mary piece is totally unique, so when it comes to ordering one, if you buy one from the website, then yes what you see is what you get. When it comes to custom orders just take a leaf out of George Michael’s book and have a little Faith, trust in the process that yours will be a wicked mish-mash of fabric that Hairy expertly puts together with your vision in mind.

Where can I see Hairy garbs in the flesh?

Other than in your dreams you can find a constant stream in Alta Store in London, and skipping around town in the Lone Design Club pop ups. For more information on this I’d recommend hanging off my every word on Instagram and signing up to the Hairy Mary fan club.

Do you accept returns?

As every garment is handmade, unique and one-or-a-kind, Hairy does not accept returns, but will be happy to alter the garment and make any required changes. Please do ask any and all questions before buying to ensure you are happy with your purchase.
