A you a fan of Mackie’s ice cream? Or the humble oat cake? Or perhaps, you’re part of a Tuesday night Toss the Caber club? OR maybe, you’re just a legend. In which case, what you need is not one vintage kilt but two or better yet three cut up and sewn back together by humble old Hairy Mary.

Mary was born in Dundee and so considers herself quite the expert when it comes to matters of the Tart…

So here we have reclaimed and reworked vintage kilts each one completely unique with a wee pocket for you to pop your whisky flask in when your not wearing your sporran, although you probably should be wearing your sporran at all times, honestly, I shouldn’t have to tell you that Hamish. As I was saying, each kilt is a piece of pre-loved vintage so will bare the signs of their past lovers but if you wanted something brand spankin’ new with absolutely no character or charm you’d best head off to Gap.

DETAILS

• Two buckles and two buttons to fasten (giving about 1 inch of adjustment to size)

• Composed of vintage, repurposed, woven wool kilts and vintage blue lacey tablecloth (any marks are a sign of its preloved life as a kilt / tablecloth, they should be at a minimum but please accept them as marks of history and character, much like Potter’s scar, connecting you to a bygone era / Voldemort’s unhinged mind)

• Measurements: Waist - 31 inches (at tightest, designed to be worn on the hips); length - 20-28 inches

• 5% of profits goes to Maggie’s Centre charity

• Boobs will be embroidered wherever I see fit…

  CARE

• Wash no higher than 30 degrees and iron, or better yet don’t wash at all and save the planet by living like a street urchin. In fact because of the wooly-ness of the tartan, I’d recommend a cold wash or hand wash, please. Don’t take chances with tarts.
